TATTOO AFTERCARE

1. Remove bandage after a minimum of 3 hours.
2. Gently cleanse the tattooed area using soap and water.
3. Apply antibiotic ointment or cream
4. For at least two weeks, minimize exposure to the sun. 
5. NO swimming in fresh, salt, or chlorinated water until fully healed.
6. Use sterile bandage(s) or other sterile dressing(s) when necessary;

Consult a health care practitioner at the first sign of infection or an allergic reaction, and report any diagnosed infection, allergic reaction, or adverse reaction resulting from the tattoo to the practitioner and to the Texas Department of State Health Services, Tattoo and Body Piercing Program, at (512) 834-6711.
